This Koi painting was created using the 2021 newly released version of Corel Painter. I find this program complicated but, as I keep using it, over the years I have found never-ending ways to create art using textures, depth, lighting, colors.
As an essentially self-taught artist, I have found my own truths and artistic paths. I am naturally curious and fervid about understanding new techniques, making the self-learning process a challenge I enjoy. Through the years, I have studied printmaking, drawing, painting, and graphic design, and I feel fortunate to have had a very successful career in that extremely competitive field. While art is, by nature, intuitive and emotive, my process is relatively straightforward.
