In English "Fish on a Stick". I have seen photos from Mexico of vendors selling fish on sticks which have been cooked on an open fire. For some reason this image stuck in my head so when I took a Monotype printing class last year I created an image of fish on a stick. I drew each fish, cut out some of the areas inside the fish and then placed them on a plastic print plate, rolled out with Japanese ink and printed on archival paper. One print is all you get. I took a photo of the final print and created this image from that changing the colors and enhancing the textures. I love the shapes, oddity of the subject and colors. I do not know if it appeals to others...I like it!
