While in Italy at a winery in Tuscany I took this image of their Vintage Wine Press. The morning light was streaming in and enhanced the texture of the wood.
Unfortunately, this was taken with a very small digital camera at high resolution but did not come out well so I worked in Adobe Photoshop to come up with this piece of art. I enjoy the process and the painterly end image.
As an essentially self-taught artist, I have found my own truths and artistic paths. I am naturally curious and fervid about understanding new techniques, making the self-learning process a challenge I enjoy. Through the years, I have studied printmaking, drawing, painting, and graphic design, and I feel fortunate to have had a very successful career in that extremely competitive field.
