This is what is left of the Scarlet lady near Pioneer Town, California. It was totally engulfed in flames and burnt out by the Saw Tooth fire of 2010. Pioneer Town once a movie set for westerns of the 50's was saved...this time. This old rail car is still beautiful with the art deco decorating the sides and doors. The patina is wonderful and colorful. I have enhanced it a little here adding a more dramatic sky but the composition and view is just as it is.

As an essentially self-taught artist, I have found my own truths and artistic paths. I am naturally curious and fervid about understanding new techniques, making the self-learning process a challenge I enjoy. Through the years, I have studied printmaking, drawing, painting, and graphic design, and I feel fortunate to have had a very successful career in that extremely competitive field.
