While visiting Vulture City Ghost Town and Mine just outside of Wickenburg, Arizona, I found many vintage metal objects with great patina and colors from rust to grays and some terrific peeling paint. This one also has a wood and metal wagon wheel going through the composition.
As an essentially self-taught artist, I have found my own truths and artistic paths. I am naturally curious and fervid about understanding new techniques, making the self-learning process a challenge I enjoy. Through the years, I have studied printmaking, drawing, painting, and graphic design, and I feel fortunate to have had a very successful career in that extremely competitive field. While art is, by nature, intuitive and emotive, my process is relatively straightforward. Definitely a piece of contemporary, abstract art. Wonderful interest in these shapes and I love the textures and tones! Very well seen.
