I am working on a series of twelve abstracts, some industrial and some nature-related. This one has a lot of depth from multiple layering and using blending modes between each layer to get these colors. I added a gold leaf overlay on the bird and sunset in the window. I find a lot of joy in working on these and spend a lot of time exploring and comparing each layer before I commit to the one I feel is complete. As an essentially self-taught artist, I have found my own truths and artistic paths.
